Copenhagen Central Station

Postbyen is only 400 meters away from Copenhagen Central Station. Here, you have easy access to the entire country, as all Danish long-distance trains, most regional trains, and six out of seven S-train lines stop here.

Furthermore, the Central Station is directly connected to the Copenhagen H metro station via a pedestrian tunnel, allowing you to transfer from trains to the metro quickly.

Copenhagen H Metro

It's a 5-minute walk from Postbyen to Copenhagen H Metro Station. You'll find stops for M3 City Circle Line and M4 Orientkajen here. In just 4 minutes by metro, you'll reach Kongens Nytorv Metro Station, where you have access to all four metro lines.

Furthermore, the metro is directly connected to the Central Station via a pedestrian tunnel, making it easy to transfer from the metro to trains.

Strøget

At the same time, near Rådhuspladsen (City Hall Square), you'll discover many chain stores and speciality shops.

Be sure also to explore the many small side streets, where you can experience landmarks like Helligåndskirken, Vor Frue Kirke, the Courthouse, and the famous Stork Fountain. At Amagertorv, you can enjoy street musicians and shows featuring acrobatics and magic tricks.

The Meatpacking District

One of Copenhagen's most popular places if you're looking for great restaurants, up-and-coming galleries, or a nightlife scene with parties, dancing, and cocktails.

You could try Kødbyens Fiskebar, which has been awarded a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide for quality food at affordable prices.

The atmosphere is creative, urban, and vibrant, making Kødbyen worth a visit.

City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen)

In City Hall Square, you can experience concerts, exhibitions, and events.

It's also the location of the beautiful City Hall building, the starting point of Strøget, and where you can access the M3 City Circle Line metro. Moreover, the rooftops around the square host Denmark's most extensive collection of neon light advertisements.

Slotsholmen and Christiansborg Palace

On the small island of Slotsholmen stands Christiansborg Palace. Here, in addition to the magnificent architecture, you can experience the Queen's throne room, the Royal Kitchen, and the tapestries, or climb the 106 meters up to Christiansborg Tower, where you can enjoy views over the city's rooftops or dine at Meyers i Tårnet.

At Slotsholmen, you'll also find Christiansborg Palace Chapel, Børsen (the old stock exchange), and the Royal Library.

The Royal Danish Opera House

The Royal Danish Theatre's Opera House is an impressive architectural marvel both outside and inside.

The house is 41,000 sq m with over 1,000 rooms, and its halls can accommodate anywhere from 1,400 to 200 people.

The exterior of the building is adorned with limestone, the foyer is made of marble, and in the grand hall's ceiling, 105,000 sheets of gold leaf shine brilliantly.

DGI Byen

In Postbyen, you're very close to three of Copenhagen's popular harbour baths, with Kalvebod Wave Harbour Bath just under 200 meters away and both Islands Brygge Harbour Bath and Fisketorvet Harbour Bath about 1 km away.

The clean, clear waters and beautiful facilities of these harbour baths make them incredibly popular destinations on sunny days and for winter swimming.

You can find kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals at the harbour baths, various lanes for children, adults, and fitness enthusiasts, diving boards, a diving tower, and plenty of space to spread out a picnic blanket or play sports.

Copenhagen Airport

From Postbyen, you have a 14-minute drive or 21 minutes by public transportation to Copenhagen Airport, which quickly and efficiently connects you to the rest of the world.

Fisketorvet
